BBA Hotshots: Sheillah Is New Head Of House

As the Big Brother Hotshots show enters its seventh week, it is a weekly ritual to elect a new Head of House and this continued this week as Sipe's tenure ended. All the housemates from Team B that won the extravaganza participated in the task to elect a new Head of House.

The task had a qualifying stage which was designed to test the abilities of the housemates to remember visual images and assign similar patterns or pieces to complete a puzzle. Any of the housemates that was able to complete the puzzle which seemed more like a game of luck, would proceed to the next stage where the real competition was. Only three of the housemates out of the five that were eligible were able to cracked the puzzle and proceed to the next stage. The housemates are Butterphly, Trezagah and Sheillah who then battled against one another for the position of Head of House.

The Housemates that qualified for the second stage proceeded into the garden where there was a waiting table which had three square puzzle boards placed on top. Each of the puzzle boards had twelve puzzle pieces each with a picture of a housemate, facing down. The puzzle pieces had a pair of six matching pictures on the board and each of the housemate was expected to make the picture pairs match. Matching each pair would give a participating housemate one point.

The three housemates that made it to the final stage Butterphly, Trezagah and Sheillah slugged it out even as the task required composure and dexterity while negotiating three hockey white balls into the three makeshift holes provided on the boards. After what seemed like a tense and hard fought battle, Sheillah was able to put her skills to good use getting the three balls in the holes faster than Trezagah and Butterphly who came second and third respectively.

Soon after the task, Big Brother announced Sheillah as the new Head of House just as Sipe performed the ceremonious hand over to Sheillah's delight.

Peter Okoye starts New Record Label, Unveils First Act

Weeks after rumors of a supposed rift between the Okoye brothers, P-Square died down, another sprung up when Peter, the twin with the crew cut, ripped bod and sleek dance moves signed an endorsement deal with Olympic milk sans his brother Paul. Explaining the reason for this Peter was quoted to have said, “Music is like football. For example, if I play for Barcelona and I get endorsed by Nike, it doesn't mean the whole Barcelona team has been endorsed. This is about me and not me and Paul…..”

Now it seems Peter is taking huge steps to establish himself as a brand, away from his twin brother as news recently broke out that he has kick started his own record label called P-Classic Records, a subsidiary of his company P-Classic Group. Revealing this news on twitter, he also unveiled the first artist signed to his management, his cousin – Malcolm Obinna Clint Onyeyiri, aka Malcoholic Obinna.

Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, rumor has it that the award winning artiste is also on the look out for artiste to sign on to his label and that he has been working underground with notable artiste the like of Awilo Logomba.

Will the Okoye brothers still be together as artistes in the nearest future?……Time will tell I guess.

Eagles in Uyo, solicit support from Nigerians

Nigeria's Super Eagles have arrived at the Le Meridien Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, ahead of the November 19 AFCON qualifier against South Africa, its Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, said on Monday.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Uyo, Alaiya said the team arrived with the squad that prosecuted last Saturday's qualifier against Congo, who they defeated 2-0.

He, however, added that but for Hope Akpan, who sustained a shoulder injury in the Congo match, all other team members trained on Sunday evening and would also train same time on Monday and Tuesday for the crucial match with the South Africans.

Alaiya said that Head Coach Stephen Keshi had called up a fitting replacement for Akpan, whose injury, to the relief of team handlers, would not require an operation.

He said that the team expected the home fans to be on hand on Wednesday, to cheer their darling team to victory, just as they did when the team played a friendly with Ghana at the Ibom International Stadium on November 7.

Alaiya assured the Super Eagles followers that the team would defeat the Bafana Bafana in Uyo, to pay back for their belief and give them hope that the African Champions would not miss out at the AFCON.

He said that the Bafana Bafana, who are currently topping the group ahead of Nigeria in the second position, are expected in Uyo on Monday, to be lodged in the same hotel as the Eagles, ahead of the encounter.

On their experience in the Congo match, Alaiya said that the team went through a harrowing experience but because they had a mindset to brave the odds, the result was a sweet and timely relief.

He recalled that the experience was, however, the opposite of what Nigerians offered the Congolese when they met in the first leg in Calabar on Sept. 4.

Nigeria lost that match 2-3.

I Can't Marry An Entertainer- Chidinma

Miss kedike opened up to The Nation on why she can't marry an entertainer. She said:

ADS: Click Here to Buy An Android Phone for as Low as #10,000

No, I don't think so (Laughs)..Personally, I wouldn't want to, except God has another plan for me. Some people might disagree with me on this one, but I just feel that after the madness in the industry, I just want to go back home to sanity. You'll just want to go back to being cool and having your peace, rather than going back to someone who's also in that same madness.I was talking to someone and the person said: “Chidinma, I don't agree with you because I think the person will understand you and understand that this is what you do.” But I still don't think I want to do that.

On the kind of man she wants

Sighs) Is there ever an ideal man? I think he's just someone who understands me because I think that understanding is very key. He is someone with a very high level of understanding, intelligence and tolerance.

With this business of mine, it takes someone who is very patient because some guys would say: “You took a picture and the guy was holding you this way and that…” It's crazy and it actually takes someone who understands, believes and trusts me totally. That is my definition of an ideal man. He doesn't need to have all the MONEYin the world. It's very natural for girls to tell you that they want tall, dark and handsome guys.

But sometimes, it doesn't work that way. I used to be like that back in the secondary school. My friends and I used to read a lot of Mills and Boons, so we had that idea of some tall, dark and handsome guys. But as you grow older, you understand that it doesn't work that way. You just need someone who is like your other half.

JIM IYKE REVEALS TRUTH ABOUT RELATIONSHIP WITH NADIA

In a recent interview with Punch, Jim Iyke talked about his fashion sense, career and Nadia Buari.

“I have about 125 pairs of sunglasses. I think I own about 200 pairs of shoes and sneakers and it is not something to brag about. I like shoes and I collect them. I get shoes that are much branded and are limited edition. For, me it is not just about making a fashion statement anymore, it is art,”

About his outfits:

“I am not brand crazy. The designer labels cost a lot of MONEY but there is a healthy competition; which is why I find the fashion market very interesting. have been to factories that make goods for Gucci. These are people working on a smaller scale and these are the ones I hire to make my clothes and they give me what I want. However, I always buy what I know I would look good in.”

Why he rarely acts Nollywood Movies

“When you arrive at the pinnacle of a career pursuit where else do you go? I surmounted that apex long in my prime. I was the guy that made 38 films in a year! I had created the work-machine image and inevitably also made myself socially redundant. I couldn't glean at the moment of my decision till late what else that world had for me. It was a vicious circle of constant, monotonous engagement.

“Nothing was challenging anymore. It (Nollywood) was too easy, too perpetual, having travelled same circles and faced same obstacles. I also earned same bracket, produced and INVESTED in the same suffocating projects. The secret of the constantly progressive individual is the ability to discern when to shift focus and reinvent even if it's temporarily. I took all I had, the vast contacts I had gathered, and moved into the world of business and facilitation,”

His relationship with Nadia,

She (Nadia) is a solid, down-to-earth woman. I'm a man that translates variables in ways many people find incomprehensible. We have embraced who we are and learnt to create our own world and expectations. We have ups and downs like every other couple.
“We have our strength and weakness as well. At the end of the day, rumours of break ups and make-ups ought to abound. It really doesn't matter. A relationship is a continuous work. Those that give up were perhaps not committed enough. Those that go in for the long haul suck up and square up to the variables life throws at them. The people that judge harshly are obviously the ones that live far from their desired lives. We just live the best way we know how and leave the rest to the author and finisher of all things.”

It Took Me 30 Minutes to Produce Oleku – Jesse Jagz

Top musician and producer, Jesse Jagz told Nigerian Tribune how he produced Ice Prince hit track “oleku” in 30 minutes. Also the state of music production.

Sadly, it is so because of technology. It is true, but the time spent has nothing to do with it. We still spent a whole lot of time reproducing, re-voicing and mixing I learned it. I know people think producers are born, but it took me years to understand what it is about. Real production is the ability to be able to compose and arrange music.

Unfortunately, what we have today is not production, but beat making. These kids have no idea how to produce. Digital production is just one angle. It takes years of training. It takes the ear, mind and muscles. E Kelly taught me to use a keyboard, then a PC to produce. But before then, I learned to play drums and piano. So, the ability to play an instrument is always an added advantage. Then, I had to learn to take all this knowledge about music, throw it out the window and just make music that comes from me.

Tyga to Feature Drake’s Ex-Girlfriend in New Music Video

The two YMCMB rappers are not in good terms. Drake and Tyga have been blasting each other for a while now. And now, Tyga has decided to grab Drake's ex-girlfriend for his new music video.

According to reports, Tyga approached Dollicia Bryan to be in his “Make it work” music video because the song has some Drake's disses throught the song.

“Tyga asked Dollicia Bryan to be in his “Make It Work” video specifically because the song includes lyrical jabs at Drake, like — “Ni**a never was my homey … all these bitches know you corny ni**a.”

Drizzy has been flirting with Tyga's baby mama Blac Chyna on social media for some weeks now, so it's not new that Tyga went for Dollicia.

“In fact, we're told Tyga flat out told Dollicia he was using her to piss off Drake … and she jumped at the opportunity.”
